Discover Fly Fishing at WILSON’S

WILSON’S store manager, Vasilios “Bill” Katraouras, is off this week for a well-earned break. If you have the opportunity to get out on water yourself over the next few days you may see a slim guy with dark glasses, a cigarette, a WILSON’S cap and a few days growth of beard with a Thomas & Thomas rod in his hands casting like there’s no tomorrow – that would be Billy. When he is in the store Bill is usually going a mile a minute because fly fishers from across Canada seek him out for his expertise and he is often stretched thin trying to balance the needs of the store with customer inquiries. Thankfully, Bill is usually able to find that balance and those of you who know him will agree that he truly is one of those people you love to meet in a fly shop. He is hard core and his level of knowledge and focus on customer service are in no small part what bring people in – and back – to our store.

That said, things for Bill and the rest of the team at WILSON’S can at times get a bit hairy to the point that we all sometimes get snowed under by the number of tasks that need to get done. Well, in Bill’s absence I have let loose the hounds… The other guys in the store this week, Hugo Ma and Mike Fitzgerald, have been given the green light to clean up and organize the store.

Billy’s gonna be pissed…
